• Track U.S. and global market trends and emerging technologies • Write evidence-based content that is easily consumed • Deliver high-quality actionable advice to an executive client audience • Create and deliver presentations for webinars and client-facing events • Build credibility as a defense market expert • Deliver outstanding sales and service support • Actively participate in ideation and research community discussions • Identify research process improvements or develop new processes • Be a mentor and a coach by supporting more junior team members

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience; Graduate degree preferred • 12+ years of relevant IT and/or program executive leadership • Informed understanding of the strategic and operational challenges facing defense leaders • Experience in defense operating in joint and/or combined service organizations • Extensive experience in U.S. defense leading strategy and/or implementation of programs in various areas • Demonstrated executive presence • Strong organizational skills; ability to work under tight deadlines • Strong written and verbal proficiency, analytical and presentation skills • Proficient in analyzing and synthesizing data • Strong communication skills to explain complex concepts concisely • Comfort presenting at large and small-scale speaking engagements • Strong business and financial acumen • Ability to work independently, while supporting the workflow of others • Learning agility and adeptness with navigating highly matrixed environments • Ability to represent Gartner's research methodology and strategies effectively
