Description

• Drive the creation, adjustment, validation, and application of thermodynamic cycle models. • Manage the lifecycle for operability models including emissions and fuel flexibility. • Define and develop engineering test plans, supporting field tests. • Analyze post-processed field data using data analysis techniques to update models. • Evaluate the use of various fuels in power plants and make necessary model adjustments. • Apply advanced data science methods to evaluate model performance and present findings. • Continuously refine team processes, implementing best practices to drive efficiency. • Develop tools and templates using VBA, Python, NPSS for team operations.

Requirements

• This role requires advanced experience in Engineering/Technology & Customer Application Engineering. • Knowledge level is comparable to a Bachelor's degree or a high school diploma with relevant experience. • Min. 5 years of relevant modeling experience. • Significant experience in Aeroderivative performance modeling. • Strong programming experience in NPSS, Python, and C. • Deep understanding of gas turbine thermodynamics, controls, emissions, and operability. • Familiarity with gas turbine performance testing standards. • Understanding of gas turbine combustion and emissions. • Experience with fuel flexibility including high hydrogen. • Proficiency in data analysis, data science, and probabilistic modeling. • Ability to work effectively in globally distributed teams. • Experience in applying continuous improvement methodologies such as Lean.
