Description

• GEICO’s API Management Platform seeks a Staff Engineer. • Create, publish, manage, discover, and consume high quality APIs. • Support API based integrations with Partners, Vendors, and internal applications. • Support all types of APIs – REST, SOAP, GraphQL, gRPC, AsyncAPI. • Develop and execute technical software development strategy for API management and tools. • Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation and best practices for API management.

Requirements

• Strong software engineering and system architecture background. • Experience with API management and related solutions including custom development. • Provide expert-level technical support to internal and external customers. • Drive continuous improvement initiatives in API strategies and best practices. • Experience with REST APIs, Microservices, and containers. • Proficient in Kubernetes (K8s) with hands-on experience in cluster provisioning and management. • Deep hands-on experience in complex system design and data pipeline architectures. • Professional experience in software development using modern programming languages like Go, Python, Typescript, Java. • Knowledgeable in security best practices for secure configurations. • Familiarity with security protocols and products, including Active Directory, SAML, and OAuth.
