Description
• Maintain, expand and improve our cloud-based data processing and delivery platform to accommodate dramatic increases in scale • Work in a multi-disciplinary team to develop and deploy new data processing and delivery applications for existing and new data types • Participate in design and development of new instruments and capabilities
Requirements
• Bachelors, Masters or PhD in a relevant technical field, e.g. Computer Science, Engineering, any number of scientific fields such as Earth / Atmospheric Science • Knowledge of the Python scientific data stack • Experience with AWS or other cloud-computing platforms, particularly in microservices architectures • Experience with low-footprint near-real-time highly reliable systems • Ability to respectfully and collaboratively communicate in spoken and written English, while explaining highly technical subject matter • Track record of self-starting, taking ownership of projects and juggling multiple priorities • Enthusiasm for our mission to create a new way of observing the Earth
