Description

• Join our FinTrust team as a Backend Engineer, contributing to both the trust and safety and finance scopes. • Enhance the reliability and flexibility of our driver vetting system. • Implement measures to deter car theft. • Develop efficient phishing prevention and detection mechanisms. • Integrate new payment methods into our platform. • Optimize our owner payout solutions. • Improve our accounting closing and reporting systems. • Your contributions will directly support our mission to provide a secure and trustworthy platform for all users. • Build new features through conception, development, testing/QA, release, documentation, monitoring, and maintenance. • Write clean, maintainable, well-documented code, adhering to best practices. • Primarily focus on backend development, with occasional full stack projects. • Contribute to shaping the squad's vision by continuous refactoring to build a more decoupled architecture. • Review peers' code to share knowledge and ensure code updates meet product and tech standards. • Provide technical insights for estimating and prioritizing valuable features. • Participate in team rituals to refine processes, manage day-to-day requests, explore, and estimate upcoming work.

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience. You've shipped and maintained code running in production environments. • Strong knowledge of at least one backend object-oriented language (Ruby preferred). • Experience working with relational databases such as PostgreSQL or MySQL. • You prioritize reliability in the backend services you create, maintaining a meticulous engineering approach. • Good understanding of system design, data structures, and overall architecture. • Strong communication skills in English, essential for collaborating effectively with both technical and non-technical team members, including fully remote colleagues. • Capable of challenging specifications and always ready to offer solutions. You balance technical and business needs effectively. • You understand that the ultimate goal is to enhance user value through your contributions. • You have an egoless programming mindset and can take constructive feedback on the code you produce. • Experience with Vanilla JS and/or React is a plus.
