• Own and scale Lumen’s remote design processes for solar and battery proposals at specific properties, including drawings, equipment specifications, sizing considerations and interconnection points • Act as expert advisor to Lumen’s current and prospective customers on PV and ESS designs, technical project requirements, and end-to-end process from initial modeling to final construction • Oversee and scale Lumen’s processes for sourcing, selecting, and collaborating with the highest quality EPC partners across the country • Coordinate with EPC partners on customer development projects, including bid solicitation and site walk scheduling • Own Lumen’s PV & ESS cost modeling by working with Finance and Engineering to regularly update equipment pricing, installation cost estimates and other inputs into Lumen’s core financial model • Pilot new offerings for Lumen customers by first developing offline procedures and eventually working with our Engineering team to build into our software solutions
• At least 10 years in the solar energy industry, with specific experience overseeing onsite project development from initial engagement to operational launch • At least 3 years in a customer-facing or sales role, with strong customer communication and technical sales skills • Strong knowledge of PV & ESS supply chain, equipment, design and installation • Familiarity with roof types, metering configurations, tenancy, and other relevant details that pertain to Commercial & Industrial buildings • Deep understanding of the role of Engineering Procurement & Construction (EPC) providers in solar and battery project development, including the interconnection process with utilities • Expertise in Helioscope, Energy Toolbase and other common industry tools for designing behind-the-meter PV & ESS projects • Proven project management skills, with the ability to work autonomously on 0-1 initiatives • Passion for decarbonization
