📋 Description

• As a contributing member of the LOCA, Containment & Stability Analysis Team, you will perform safety analysis for plant thermal-hydraulic Stability, plant noise, PRNM stability interface, and other analyses supporting reload applications for Boiling Water Reactor (BWR) plants. • Perform plant thermal-hydraulic stability analyses, plant noise analyses, PRNM stability interface, and other safety analyses with general expertise in two-phase thermal hydraulic analysis techniques. • Perform fuel project tasks including reload analyses, Stability methods implementation, new fuel design and introduction, and safety analysis support for emergent fuel issues. • Perform in cross-disciplinary settings, engage with interfacing teams responsible for mechanical design, core design, licensing, systems design, or other affiliated organizations to find optimum customer solutions. • Prepare, document and present technical data to internal/external customers. • Provide technical mentoring to support team development and knowledge management, including procedure development and adherence. • Develop/deliver training course offerings in support of external commercial requests, as well as for internal audiences for knowledge management, and knowledge capture and transfer. • Lead team process improvements to drive speed and simplification. • Ensure work is performed with high quality in accordance with regulatory rules and regulations, customer requirements, and business quality assurance standards.

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering Discipline (Nuclear, Mechanical, Chemical, or similar) from an accredited college or university • Minimum of 3 years of experience in plant T-H Stability Safety Analysis. • Experience in BWR Plant T-H Stability analyses & methods, including plant noise analyses, PRNM stability interface, stability setpoints methodology, and frequency and time domain methodologies • M.S. Degree in Nuclear Engineering with experience in T-H modeling as applied to nuclear reactor systems • Experience with BWR technology and BWR Stability analysis to support applicable regulatory requirements • Knowledge of plant operational support in the Stability area • Knowledge of reactor licensing requirements • Experience with BWR simulator and use of 3-D neutron kinetics (e.g., PANAC) • Experience with BWR/PWR T-H systems codes such as TRACG, RELAP, & TRACE • Experience with Best Estimate and CSAU applications • Programming experience such as C#, FORTRAN, or PYTHON • Demonstrated high energy and the ability to energize others • Honest and straightforward with a high level of personal integrity • Work easily and communicate effectively within a team environment • Seeks simple solutions to complex problems • Detail oriented and accountable for completion of work and assignments • Clearly and confidently communicates based on deep understanding • Communicates in an open, candid, clear, and consistent manner • Legacy of delivering on commitments; tenacious, with a proven track record of overcoming obstacles. • Ability to achieve stretch targets.
