Description

• GitGuardian is a global cybersecurity scale-up. • Staff engineers lead design, development, and implementation of technical solutions. • Drive architectural decisions, technical strategy, and best practices. • Mentor and guide engineers, fostering a culture of learning and collaboration. • Collaborate with product managers and other stakeholders to define requirements. • Conduct code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards. • Identify technical challenges and propose solutions. • Stay up-to-date with latest technologies and trends. • Participate in software development and maintain code quality. • Support engineering team growth as the company scales.

Requirements

• Fluency in English. • You are an expert in Python with solid experience in Django and large monolithic codebases. • You are known for mentoring others and improving codebases. • You are an expert in web application development, Unix/Linux environments, and distributed and parallel systems. • You have expert-level knowledge of cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and containerisation technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) • Experience working in security-focused environments, particularly with companies adhering to compliance standards such as SOC 1, SOC 2, and ISO certifications, with a strong understanding of regulatory requirements and auditing processes. • Like us, you have a dynamic and proactive personality and are always willing to help your teammates. • You can operate effectively and autonomously across multiple teams and navigate technical ambiguity with only high-level direction. • Strong mentorship experience where you coached more junior members to grow technically • Proven problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically and analytically • Proven communication and interpersonal skills, you have a track record of effectively leading technical initiatives and collaborating with cross-functional teams in an organisation of at least one hundred people.
