📋 Description
• As an Engineering Manager, GitLab Dedicated, your primary focus lies on hiring and building a world-class team and putting them in the optimal position to succeed. • You’ll do this by maintaining an environment where team members can thrive and the team produces results. • You will partner with a Product Manager to connect business goals and customer needs with sound engineering to create a scalable product. • Your team will be globally distributed and you will work in an async and agile way to improve the reliability, quality, security, and performance of the GitLab Dedicated product. • In this role, you will participate in the Dedicated incident escalation rotation to enable engineers to meet GitLab Dedicated availability goals and SLAs. • The Dedicated teams build and manage our GitLab Dedicated SaaS service and are working on projects that enable us to better meet customer needs. Projects include enabling new features on the GitLab Dedicated product, scaling, compliance and improving team processes and automation.
🎯 Requirements
• 3+ years of experience leading single or multi tenant SaaS systems in an Infrastructure, SRE, or similar team • Ability to deep dive into technical issues and translate this to understandable language for the business • Experience hiring, coaching, growing, and retaining Engineering talent • Deep technical understanding of running SaaS applications and infrastructure at scale • Experience leading a team on a large-scale consumer platform • Strong cross-functional collaboration skills
