📋 Description
• This is a remote position. • Legal and Political Translators in a Variety of Languages - Freelance/Remote • A woman-owned small business headquartered in Fairfax, VA, is seeking skilled Translators and Editors to render accurate and timely translations of new content and/or update previous content of election-related materials from English into the following target languages: Amharic, Apache, Bengali, Hindi, Japanese, Khmer, Navajo, Somali, Tagalog, Yup’ik-Akuzipik
🎯 Requirements
• Native speaker of foreign language being translated or edited and near-native English language skills (i.e., reading/writing/speaking/listening) • At least 3 years of experience performing professional translation or editing services • Meticulous attention to detail • Excellent written communication skills • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, including the ability to use track changes/editing features • Experience using Trados or other CAT tools a plus • Knowledge of election terminology a plus • Experience performing legal translations a plus
