• About GoodLeap: • GoodLeap is a technology company delivering best-in-class financing and software products for sustainable solutions, from solar panels and batteries to energy-efficient HVAC, heat pumps, roofing, windows, and more. • Over 1 million homeowners have benefited from our simple, fast, and frictionless technology that makes the adoption of these products more affordable, accessible, and easier to understand. • Thousands of professionals deploying home efficiency and solar solutions rely on GoodLeap’s proprietary, AI-powered applications and developer tools to drive more transparent customer communication, deeper business intelligence, and streamlined payment and operations. • Our platform has led to more than $27 billion in financing for sustainable solutions since 2018. • GoodLeap is also proud to support our award-winning nonprofit, GivePower, which is building and deploying life-saving water and clean electricity systems, changing the lives of more than 1.6 million people across Africa, Asia, and South America. • Position Summary • We are looking for a highly experienced Principal AI Engineer with strong expertise in AI/ML and scalable service architectures, along with experience and deep curiosity in Large LanguageModels (LLMs) and agentic systems. • In this role, you will define the technical vision for integrating advanced AI-driven solutions into our loan and lease servicing platform, ensuring reliability, security, and efficiency at scale. • You will collaborate closely with leadership, product, and engineering teams to develop AI-powered automation, intelligent decision-making systems, and next-generation agentic AI capabilities. • As a Principal AI Engineer, you will play an instrumental role in leading the transformation of GoodLeap's servicing business into a highly automated, scalable operation. • Your vision and technical leadership will position us at the forefront of the industry, driving the adoption and development of state-of-the-art agentic AI solutions that shape the future of loan and lease servicing.

🎯 Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in software engineering, with at least 2+ years working with AI/ML solutions or LLMs. • Excellent leadership and problem-solving skills, with the ability to drive AI strategy at scale. • Strong software architecture and design skills, with experience building and improving distributed systems and full-stack applications and web products • Some hands-on experience with AI model development, fine-tuning, and deployment using frameworks like PyTorch, TensorFlow, Hugging Face. • Significant hands-on experience with LLM APIs, agent frameworks, platforms, and protocols such as OpenAI API, AWS Bedrock, LangChain, Semantic Kernel, Model Context Protocol. • Expertise in Python and TypeScript, with experience in building AI-driven backend systems. • Experience in .NET (C#) preferred but not required. • Experience working with vector databases, embeddings, and semantic search. • Strong understanding of machine learning principles, prompt engineering, and AI inference optimization. • Familiarity with MLOps, CI/CD for AI pipelines, and AI observability tools. • Knowledge of financial services applications, including risk assessment, fraud detection, and AI-driven process automation.
