📋 Description

• This position may be performed remotely with travel to the Boston area as needed. • At Praxis we’re seeking a Director or Senior Director level individual to manage the Accounting group within the Finance team. • This represents an exciting opportunity to lead the group and oversee the monthly and quarterly close process, internal controls compliance, and SEC reporting. • In this position you’ll play a critical role in ensuring the Company’s financial and operational success as it plans for commercialization of its late-stage assets. • The successful candidate will have strong leadership skills and be willing to step in and support various Finance processes based on fluctuating business needs. • You’re a critical thinker who is resourceful and thrives in a fast-faced environment.

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting and an active CPA license required • 12+ years of related accounting experience required; public and private experience preferred • Prior employment at a biotech/pharma company required; experience with accounting at a commercial-stage company preferred • Strong knowledge of US GAAP and SOX principles is required • Detail oriented self-starter with ability to think strategically and effectively prioritize while managing various projects simultaneously • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, ability to work collaboratively with other parts of the business including key internal/external stakeholders and executive leadership • Ability to be flexible and continuously drive processes, deliverables, and timelines in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. Experience working within Agile framework is helpful.
