📋 Description
• This is a full-time remote role for candidates in the UK, Sweden, Spain and Germany. • Grafana Cloud integrates metrics, logs, traces, and profiles with Grafana. • The Databases team owns and operates the telemetry databases that are Mimir for metrics, Loki for logs, Tempo for traces, and Pyroscope for profiles. • As a remote-first company, we embrace diverse teams with different experiences to build software. • The Mimir squad focuses on optimizing the efficiency and resilience of processing, storing, and querying metrics. • Mimir engineers engage in larger projects and also focus on performance and reliability improvements. • Responsibilities include influencing roadmap, collaborating with teams, supporting members, and learning new skills. • We require independent attitude and good communication skills.
🎯 Requirements
• Solid experience with at least one programming language • Some experience with delivering projects from gathering requirements to shipping a product • Some experience with developing software that runs in the Cloud or systems engineering • Some experience with being on-call and following the DevOps model • Experience writing clean, robust, and performant software that is easily maintained by others • Familiarity with observability systems, know when to use metrics, logs, traces to debug problems • Nice to haves: • Experience working with Kubernetes • Experience working with queue systems, e.g. the Kafka protocol • Been a user of Grafana and Prometheus in operational roles • Exposure to microservices architecture and distributed systems • Familiarity with the concept of infrastructure as code
