Description

• As the Head of Developer Relations, you will play a crucial role in building and nurturing a community of developers around both the GridGain and the open-source Apache Ignite technologies. • Design programs and execute activities that drive awareness, adoption, and engagement throughout the GridGain and Apache Ignite developer community. • Requires a blend of technical expertise, leadership skills, and the ability to engage and inspire developers. • Report to the Chief Technology Officer and work closely with other teams including Product Management, R&D, Solutions Architects, Professional Services, Customer Success, and Executive Management. • Develop and execute the strategic vision for the DevRel program, aligned with the company’s goals. • Define key activities, tasks and deliverables expected of the program and work cross-functionally to identify DevRel champions, developer advocates and content creators. • Build and foster relationships with developers, open-source communities, and key influencers. • Identify and attend relevant conferences, meetups, and events to promote the company’s technologies. • Advocate for developer needs, creating high-quality technical content, and ensuring developer-centric features are prioritized. • Establish metrics to evaluate Developer Relations programs and report regularly on community health and engagement metrics.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in software development, developer relations, or technical evangelism, with at least 3 years in a leadership role, ideally working with open-source based software. • Strong technical background with the ability to understand and explain complex technical concepts. • Proven experience building and scaling developer communities. • Familiarity with modern software development practices, tools, and platforms. • Excellent communication and public speaking skills, with a strong ability to engage with deeply technical audiences. • Ability to work cross-functionally and influence without authority. • Experience managing large-scale developer programs and working with open-source communities is a plus. • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
