• Backend Development: Design, implement, and maintain Java-based backend services, APIs, and microservices. • Database Design and Optimisation: Create efficient and scalable database schemas, write complex SQL queries, and optimise database performance. • API Integration: Collaborate with front-end developers and other teams to define API contracts. • Code Quality and Testing: Write clean, well-documented, and testable code. • Performance Optimisation: Identify performance bottlenecks, troubleshoot issues, and optimise backend systems. • Security and Compliance: Implement security best practices to safeguard user data. • Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with cross-functional teams to understand requirements. • Code Reviews: Participate in and conduct code reviews. • Continuous Improvement: Stay current with the latest technologies and recommend process improvements.
