Description

• Write production-ready code that is performance optimized, easily testable and understood by other developers, and accounts for edge cases and errors • Reporting directly to the Engineering Manager, work together on and own your personal growth and objectives • Work with Product Managers and Software Developers to collaboratively define the roadmap for features and tools • Clearly communicate with the team through our productivity tools (Slack, Notion and GitHub) • Champion documentation and knowledge sharing • Contribute to the design of scalable software platforms with performance and security in mind • Analyze and troubleshoot production issues in a timely fashion • Assist Junior developers with their assigned responsibilities when required • Contribute to documentation, functional specifications, design documents and architecture diagrams

Requirements

• Proven history of excelling in a team-based, collaborative environment • Proven Experience designing and documenting APIs (we use Node.js, Fastify, OpenAPI Spec) • Experience in mentoring junior team members, contributing to overall code quality & pull request process, and evangelizing best practices • Senior-level knowledge of front-end development (ES2019 JavaScript, React, CSS) • Senior-level knowledge of back-end development (we use Node.js) • Senior-level knowledge of database engines (we use PostgreSQL, Redis) • Senior-level knowledge of client-side testing best practices and tooling (we use Tap, Jest) • Experience reviewing code and giving constructive feedback to peers • You live and work within 3 Hours of Eastern Standard Time
