• Work closely with Program manager to identify and weight automated interview questions • Prepare recurring and new vacancy announcements • Adjudicate applicant packages and evaluate compliance with veterans' preference requirements • Perform routine staffing support duties for recruitment-to-hire functions • Respond to questions and provide explanations of HR policy • Review work products and initiate necessary actions to correct errors • Develop, maintain, and update computerized databases and spreadsheets • Prepare routine reports related to work output and progress • Utilize a computer based HR IS to document work output
• Expertise in Federal regulations related to HR staffing policies and procedures • Demonstrated experience in the use of Special Hiring Authorities • Proficiency in implementing all aspects of recruitment to hire functions • Excellent written and verbal communication skills • Experience developing detailed formal reports • Ability to work independently on assignments • Experience with HR automated systems such as Monster, USA Staffing, HR Connect • Minimum of 8 years' experience as a Federal HR Specialist • Extensive background in staffing and placement on the Federal Government level • Successful completion of at least a Public Trust security clearance process
