Description

• The Senior Data Architect plays a vital role in ensuring the efficient, secure, and reliable operation of our databases and data systems. • They directly contribute to improving data accessibility for our staff and others, as well as safeguarding sensitive data. • The Senior Data Architect builds and orchestrates data pipelines and finds clever solutions to complex data challenges throughout the organization. • They implement, maintain and continuously improve our RDBMS systems, analyzing performance trends to identify opportunities for improvement.

Requirements

• 7+ years of data engineering • Technical proficiency: SQL (advanced), PostgreSQL (advanced), Python (intermediate), git (intermediate), dbt (intermediate) • Use of database tools such as materialized views, routines, extensions, and query profiling to prepare and optimize data for various use cases • Data and data system documentation best practices, including but not limited to: ERDs, data dictionaries, workflow diagrams, and data stacks • Troubleshooting and solving complex issues within databases, data pipelines, schemas, and warehouses • Optimizing performance through testing and ongoing real-time monitoring • Data security best practices and disaster recovery procedures.
