Description

• The Creative Director is responsible for the visual identity and all art needs of Austin Monthly and Austin Home. • They will oversee photography, page design and in-house art needs for both brands. • Qualified candidates will be equal parts creative and organized. • They will have their finger on the pulse of what’s happening in Austin, elevating both publications in the eyes of our readers. • We need a strong collaborator who can pitch original ideas and act on constructive feedback.

Requirements

• Proficient in design software such as Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator). • Technical knowledge of the print production process, including papers specs, file types and more. • Strong print and digital design chops with the ability to deliver innovate magazine layouts issue after issue. • Ability to multitask and manage multiple projects at once. • Experience converting print designs for digital layouts and specifications. • Experience with time-management and creativity. The Creative Director will juggle multiple projects for both brands simultaneously. We need a self-starter who can also bring innovative design to every issue, month after month.
