β€’ This is a remote position. β€’ REMOTE Audio Electronics Power Engineer. β€’ Remote must have a robust home lab setup. β€’ The company is a leading global audio electronics manufacturer. β€’ They are looking for an Audio Electronics Engineer w/ Class-D Power Amplifier experience who is responsible for creating and implementing electronic hardware products for the company. β€’ The Engineer will design and develop audio-specific power supplies and amplifiers with power levels ranging from several watts to tens of kilowatts. β€’ This Engineer should possess a comprehensive technical background encompassing the design, simulation, fabrication, and testing of switch mode power supplies (SMPS) and class D audio power amplifiers. β€’ Designs and implements analog and digital electronic hardware, with a specific focus on audio applications. β€’ Conducts development and analysis of audio electronics components and systems. β€’ Develops power supplies and amplifiers specifically designed for professional audio products. β€’ Analyzes and selects SMPS topology. β€’ Performs design simulation. β€’ Handles the magnetic design and prototyping of inductors and transformers. β€’ Tests, validates and verifies the audio performance of audio systems and subsystems. β€’ Tests, qualifies and troubleshoots supplies and amplifiers to ensure compliance with standards such as FCC, CE, UL, and others. β€’ Drives and achieves results within challenging time and budget constraints. β€’ Takes a leadership role, mentoring and supporting junior engineers in their career development and project design endeavors.

🎯 Requirements

β€’ Bachelor of Science in a relevant Engineering Discipline (BSEE). β€’ Minimum of 5 years of design experience, covering the entire process from concept to production. β€’ Proficiency in using simulation tools. β€’ Strong skills in schematic capture and PCB layout software. β€’ Solid theoretical and practical knowledge of switch-mode power conversion for DC/DC and AC/DC power supplies. β€’ Competence in magnetics for inductors and transformers. β€’ Thorough understanding of switching devices and component selection. β€’ Familiarity with regulatory compliance requirements and test methods, including UL, FCC, CE, and others as applicable. β€’ Extensive hands-on experience in bench testing, probing, instrumentation, and some hand-soldering. β€’ Ability to generate professional test reports. β€’ Capability to document work effectively in design journals or similar methods. β€’ Proficiency in specifying test requirements and procedures. β€’ Knowledge of thermal management principles. β€’ Strong experience in analog design. β€’ Understanding of reliability principles. β€’ Knowledge of Control Theory.
