Description

• We are expanding our product development team and are looking to hire a Senior Ruby on Rails Engineer to champion engineering efforts on our core product. • You’ll be responsible for participating in feature definition sessions and implementation decisions that will bring new features to our customers. • Implement new features and technologies alongside the growing engineering team • Use Rails 7+ to build, improve, and update our App • Monitor the reliability and performance of relevant systems • Write and maintain RSpec tests • Proactively identify and participate in improving code and application functionality • Help mentor and teach junior team members via strong development practices

Requirements

• A passion for helping small businesses • 5+ years of full-stack Ruby on Rails experience • A solid understanding of web standards • A desire to learn and embrace the newest Rails features • Proven ability to thrive in a remote-first environment • Demonstrate an understanding of ActiveRecord concepts and conventions • Experience in utilizing PostgreSQL to organize and chart time-series data • Experience developing Fintech software is a plus

Benefits

• Position: Senior Ruby on Rails Engineer • Salary Range: $3000-$5000 USD + bonus • Working Hours: Flexible, but availability during regular business hours for meetings is required. • Payment Frequency: Monthly • Type of Contract: Independent Contractor
