• Seize this opportunity as a Project Manager for Hitachi Energy’s growing High Voltage unit in the UK. • Manage Gas Insulated Switchgear, Live Tank breakers and HV portfolio projects. • Ensure all related activities are performed in accordance with policies and standards. • Manage customer projects from single unit switchgear deliveries to multi-million pounds projects. • Work closely with factories, customers and service teams to ensure satisfactory delivery. • Make key decisions as the main point of contact with customers. • Plan and schedule projects from start to completion. • Mitigate risks and act as escalation point for project issues. • Create and share accurate project plans with regular updates.

Requirements

• Engineering related degree (electrical desirable but not essential). • Experience and understanding of High Voltage switchgear. • Comprehension of English language both spoken and in writing. • Both fluent and accurate - able to negotiate at all levels internally and externally. • Other languages are considered advantageous. • Flexible to travel to UK to customer sites and abroad to our manufacturing facilities as required. • High attention to detail. • Team player, who holds themselves accountable being ready to collaborate with others committed to achieve the end goal. • Financially literate – able to read financial statements and negotiate costs. • Systematic, proactive approach and efficient time management.
