We are on a mission to create a friendly and trusted platform to connect homeowners with the right contractors across the US. • What started as a small idea has become a fast-growing home improvement platform focusing on lead quality and long-term partnerships based on trust and mutual success. • This job is for you if you would like to work in a positive atmosphere where teamwork and trust in your colleagues are primary values. • This role is full-time and offers home working flexibility. • In this role, you will be responsible for driving the engineering department’s strategic vision and execution in alignment with company goals; • Overseeing functional leads (Head of Development, Head of QA, Head of DevOps, Head of Agile, and Head of Delivery) and the engineering department of about 70 people; • Building and scaling an engineering company that fosters innovation, collaboration, and high performance. • Ensuring the delivery of high-quality, reliable, scalable software solutions and product’s technical excellence.

🎯 Requirements

• Highly self-motivated and results-oriented team player; • 10+ years of experience in software development, with 5+ years in senior leadership roles such as CTO, Head of Engineering, VP of Engineering, or similar in a product company; • Experience leading diverse teams of similar size (70+) and scaling the company effectively; • Proven track record of aligning technical strategies with product and business goals; • Deep understanding of software development processes, including frontend and backend development, software testing, and DevOps; • Deep understanding of the principles of building a reliable architecture; • Strong knowledge of software architecture principles and OOP, SOLID, and Design Patterns; • Good understanding of cloud infrastructure and services such as AWS or Azure; • Exceptional communication, leadership, and decision-making skills; • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; • Experience in leading remote engineering teams in an Agile/Scrum environment; • Advanced level of English.
