β’ Process financial transactions and ensure accuracy in the general ledger. β’ Reconcile accounts payable and receivable. β’ Prepare and submit VAT returns and manage VAT calculations. β’ Assist in the preparation of financial statements. β’ Collaborate with the tax team to deliver accurate and timely corporate and individual tax returns. β’ Review work prepared by junior staff and provide mentorship on accounting processes, VAT, and tax matters. β’ Prepare financial reports, analyze trends, and provide insights to management. β’ Stay updated with UK tax laws, accounting standards, and industry best practices.
β’ CA or ACCA qualified. β’ 3-5 years of experience working remotely with a UK-based accounting firm. β’ Proficient in accounting software: Xero, FreeAgent, VT, and Taxcalc. β’ Strong knowledge of UK VAT, accounting principles, and tax regulations. β’ Excellent analytical skills with a keen eye for detail. β’ Strong communication and interpersonal skills; ability to mentor junior staff. β’ Proactive, results-driven, and a collaborative team player with a positive attitude. β’ Familiarity with video conferencing and collaboration tools (MS Teams preferred).
