📋 Description
• Process financial transactions and ensure accuracy in the general ledger. • Reconcile accounts payable and receivable. • Prepare and submit VAT returns and manage VAT calculations. • Assist in the preparation of financial statements. • Collaborate with the tax team to deliver accurate and timely corporate and individual tax returns. • Review work prepared by junior staff and provide mentorship on accounting processes, VAT, and tax matters. • Prepare financial reports, analyze trends, and provide insights to management. • Stay updated with UK tax laws, accounting standards, and industry best practices.
🎯 Requirements
• CA or ACCA qualified. • 3-5 years of experience working remotely with a UK-based accounting firm. • Proficient in accounting software: Xero, FreeAgent, VT, and Taxcalc. • Strong knowledge of UK VAT, accounting principles, and tax regulations. • Excellent analytical skills with a keen eye for detail. • Strong communication and interpersonal skills; ability to mentor junior staff. • Proactive, results-driven, and a collaborative team player with a positive attitude. • Familiarity with video conferencing and collaboration tools (MS Teams preferred).
