• HSO standards foster strong health care systems by providing foundational quality health services. • As a member of the Technical Committee, you will support quality improvement measures. • You will connect and collaborate with passionate individuals in the health field. • You will advise on topics and content for standards and maintain communication among committee members. • You will help identify emerging areas and opportunities for standards development.

Requirements

• You identify with one of these four stakeholder categories: - Patients - Providers - Policy makers/health services stakeholders - General interest • You have subject matter expertise through professional and lived experience • You have demonstrated experience working in collaborative settings and exhibiting the diplomacy, tact, and respect required for group interactions • You are able to commit to the time investment and constraints as required for Technical Committee activities • You are able to work and collaborate with others in English.

Benefits

• A patient and family volunteer honorarium is provided to all patient and family members participating on HSO’s Technical Committees. • HSO typically provides reimbursement to Technical Committee members for expenses related to attending an in-person meeting in Ottawa. • Accommodations are available on request for candidates taking part in all aspects of the selection process.
