• HSO standards foster strong health care systems by providing a foundation that promotes high quality health services. • Develop and support ongoing quality improvement measures in health care systems. • Connect and collaborate with passionate individuals working in the field or who have lived experience.
• You identify with one of these four stakeholder categories: Patients, Providers, Policy makers/health services stakeholders, General interest. • You have subject matter expertise through professional and lived experience. • You have demonstrated experience working in collaborative settings, and exhibiting the diplomacy, tact, and respect required for group interactions. • You are able to commit to the time investment and constraints as required for Technical Committee activities. • You are able to work and collaborate with others in English, as this is the working language of the Technical Committee (unless otherwise stated).
• All positions on the Technical Committee are voluntary. • A patient and family volunteer honorarium is provided to all patient and family members participating on HSO’s Technical Committees. • HSO typically provides reimbursement to Technical Committee members for expenses related to attending an in-person meeting in Ottawa. However, due to COVID-19 restrictions, in-person meetings will take place virtually until further notice. • Additional information on membership, including patient and family honorariums, will be provided if you are selected as a Technical Committee member.
