• HSO standards foster strong health care systems by providing high quality health services. • You will be part of the development process that supports ongoing quality improvement measures. • Participate in monitoring, identifying, and providing strategic guidance on emerging areas of importance. • Help identify sponsorship and endorsement opportunities. • Work with key stakeholders and experts in the revision or development of HSO standards. • Bring the perspective of your membership category for the benefit of the global community. • Advise and reach consensus on topics for inclusion and content of the standards. • Maintain effective communication among Technical Committee members and HSO staff. • Provide guidance on standard(s) interpretation questions and inquiries. • Promote the adoption of standards once published.

Requirements

• You identify with one of these four stakeholder categories: Patients, Providers, Policy makers/health services stakeholders, General interest. • You have subject matter expertise through professional and lived experience. • You have demonstrated experience working in collaborative settings, and exhibiting the diplomacy, tact, and respect required for group interactions. • You are able to commit to the time investment and constraints as required for Technical Committee activities. • You are able to work and collaborate with others in English.

Benefits

• All positions on the Technical Committee are voluntary. • A patient and family volunteer honorarium is provided to all patient and family members participating on HSO’s Technical Committees. • HSO typically provides reimbursement to Technical Committee members for expenses related to attending an in-person meeting in Ottawa. • Accommodations are available on request for candidates taking part in all aspects of the selection process.
