Description

• HSO is searching for Technical Committee members to foster strong health care systems. • You will be part of a development process that supports ongoing quality improvement measures in health care systems. • You will monitor, identify, and provide strategic guidance to HSO on emerging areas. • You’ll provide guidance to HSO staff on standard(s) related interpretation questions. • Promoting the adoption of standards once published is part of your role.

Requirements

• You identify with one of these four stakeholder categories: Patients, Providers, Policy makers/health services stakeholders, General interest. • You have subject matter expertise through professional and lived experience. • You have demonstrated experience working in collaborative settings, and exhibiting the diplomacy, tact, and respect required for group interactions. • You are able to commit to the time investment and constraints as required for Technical Committee activities. • You are able to work and collaborate with others in English.

• Financial Assistance – All positions on the Technical Committee are voluntary. • A patient and family volunteer honorarium is provided to all patient and family members participating on HSO’s Technical Committees. • HSO typically provides reimbursement to Technical Committee members for expenses related to attending an in-person meeting in Ottawa. • Accommodations are available on request for candidates taking part in all aspects of the selection process.
