β’ Support large-scale maintenance and logistics efforts under the Foreign Military Sales (FMS) program. β’ Assist maintenance and support personnel supporting the Follow On Technical Support (FOTS) contract under NAVSEA PMS 326. β’ Support craft and ships sold to foreign Navies with fleet support of ships undergoing diesel engine repairs, overhauls, and modernization conversions. β’ Perform ready-to-start and post-repair inspections and review of operational testing procedures. β’ Conduct assessments such as ship visits to assess the material condition of shipboard systems. β’ Access, analyze, and provide recommended resolutions on diesel engines based on the U.S. Navy diesel inspector program. β’ Perform diesel engine inspections and Formal Periodic Assessments (FPAs) in accordance with specific standards. β’ Blueprint an engine, test engines and components, and take critical measurements to assess and eventually plan an overhaul or replacement. β’ Supervise complex repairs to different diesel engines such as MTU, Caterpillar, Fairbanks Morse, Isotta Fraschini, Paxman, etc. β’ Train crew and maintenance personnel in diesel maintenance and operations (focusing on foreign crews).
β’ 6 years of technical experience with maintenance of shipboard diesel engines, propulsion, and auxiliary systems. β’ Excellent communication and analytical skills. β’ Working knowledge of computer systems and integrated software application programs. β’ Must be willing to travel to the Middle East and Indo/Pacific Countries. β’ Ability to work independently and in a team environment. β’ Ability to travel CONUS and OCONUS. β’ Ability to obtain a United States Passport.
