📋 Description

• At Veriff, our mission is to protect honest people online, and the Fraud Engineering team is central to achieving this goal. • We are looking for a skilled Senior Python Engineer to join this team, which focuses on detecting repeat fraud using machine learning models and delivering global risk assessments for fraudulent activities. • As part of this team, you will maintain and enhance our real-time Fraud Platform, focusing on security, scalability, and maintainability. • Your role will be key in designing and developing systems that support Veriff's vision to build trust online with a reliable and secure platform. • You’ll help us protect honest people online by: • Taking charge of the design, documentation, and validation processes for product and system development, ensuring top-notch quality and innovation. • Building, testing, and maintaining our automation services using Python, contributing to the efficiency and effectiveness of our platform. • Collaborating closely with a diverse team of engineers, data scientists, and machine learning experts, both within and outside the team, to tackle complex challenges and drive forward our vision for fraud prevention. • Owning and nurturing cross-functional partnerships, including working with engineering teams and product stakeholders, to align goals and strategies. • Mentoring and guiding the team, ensuring they are well-equipped with the necessary skills and aligned with our mission. • We strive to be the benchmark for trust online, and we take pride in being a positive force.

🎯 Requirements

• Over 5 years of experience building large-scale applications with Python • A strong understanding of modular design approaches and SOLID principles, particularly in distributed systems • Hands-on experience with building scalable and maintainable APIs and message-queuing concepts • Proficiency in various test strategies, ensuring robust and reliable software solutions • Solid understanding of fundamental relational database concepts • Familiarity with structured logging systems • Exceptional communication skills with the ability to clearly articulate and motivate technical ideas to both engineers and non-engineers
