Description

• The Trainee Energy Auditor & Inspector will support ICAST’s Energy Auditing and Quality Control Inspection staff while gaining hands on field experience. • Assist ICAST Technical/QCI staff in conducting Building Energy Audits in the field • Assessing the energy performance of buildings. • Learn how to independently perform QA/QC Inspections for Energy Efficiency projects • Learn how to review MF building inspections done by Construction staff at ICAST to ensure they meet the program, customer, and ICAST requirements. • Maintain up-to-date and accurate reporting for all assigned projects.

Requirements

• Possess a degree or certification in Energy Auditing or building Quality Control Inspections or 1 year of experience in an Energy Auditor or Inspector role. • BPI MF Energy Auditor Certification or Functional Knowledge of Energy Auditing principles • Weatherization Program (WAP) QCI knowledge • Proficiency with M365 Suit of Products (special focus on MS Excel) • Firm understanding of HVAC systems in buildings, especially multifamily. • Understanding of Healthy Homes assessments • Strong skills in communication, documentation, and attention to detail
