• Ideals is a global B2B SaaS company focusing on business collaboration • The Role: Senior Backend Engineer (.NET) for the Phoenix team • Develop new features and improve existing services • Collaborate across teams in engineering, product, DevOps, and customer support • Drive product development and uphold best engineering practices • Tech stack: .NET Framework 4.7-.NET 8; ASP.NET; Web API; IIS; MS SQL Server / PostgreSQL; AWS; Docker/Kubernetes; TeamCity; Octopus / ArgoCD; GitLab

Requirements

• Participate in all phases of the SDLC as part of a cross-functional product team. This includes, but is not limited to, requirements analysis, design, implementation, testing (unit and integration tests), building, deployment, and operation of new product increments, handling change requests, defect resolution, spikes, and proof-of-concepts • Ensure high-quality solutions by maintaining acceptable test coverage, aligned with the Definition of Done criteria • Be a proactive team player, contributing actively to the group’s efforts to complete tasks and achieve goals • Adhere to and drive modern software engineering practices through design reviews • Support hiring activities by participating in technical interviews and live coding sessions to select the best technical talent for the team • Engage in mentorship and knowledge sharing within the team and Engineering organization • Product-focused approach, consistently striving to create value for users • Strong sense of ownership, taking full responsibility for end-to-end development from design through to production support • Proactive attitude and a growth mindset, with a strong orientation towards self-development and continuous learning • Over 6 years of commercial experience in backend development using .NET Framework 4.7, ASP.NET Web API, IIS, knowledge of .NET platform • Solid understanding of the SDLC, along with software design and architecture principles • Expertise in API design principles, with a solid understanding of REST, RPC, including security considerations • Experience with relational databases (preferably MS SQL Server / PostgreSQL) • Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS is preferred) • Expertise in writing both unit and integration tests while ensuring that best practices for testing are integrated into every phase of development • Proficient in Docker and Kubernetes, with the ability to create and maintain Helm charts • B2 level proficiency in English, both spoken and written • Experience in product or SaaS businesses will be a significant differentiator • Experience with multiple products in the virtual data room domain • Experience with .Net 6/8 • NoSQL databases experience • AWS Certification • Knowledge of security best practices in backend development
