Description

• Provide development manager caliber technical leadership and architectural direction for software teams. • Own all technical matters related to assigned products, focusing on ETL processes, data flow management, and BI solutions. • Design, develop, and maintain data pipelines and workflows for data-driven decision making. • Assess and shepherd the technical delivery of high-quality products, ensuring adherence to best practices. • Serve as the Development Manager, guiding geographically diverse software development teams. • Report on status of development, quality, operations, and system performance to executive leadership. • Foster proactive collaboration among technical teams where systems integration is required.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in computer science or a related field • 5+ years of experience building successful production software systems • 3+ years of proven experience as a Data Engineer, with a focus on ETL, data pipelines, and BI. • Hands-on experience with ETL tools (e.g., dbtCore, Airbyte, Apache NiFi, Airflow) and BI platforms such as Apache Superset • Strong understanding of data warehousing concepts and relational databases such as AWS RDS • Experience with Xray and Xporter products is highly desirable • Deep understanding of software development in a team, and a track record of shipping high-quality software on time • Ability to take raw product requirements and develop software architectures and designs to bring products to life • Good knowledge of the tools of the trade, including a variety of programming languages and key technologies (e.g. MongoDB, React, Node.js) • Ability to work independently and collaboratively • Ability to communicate design rationale and build consensus • Ability to prioritize and manage work to critical project timelines in a fast-paced environment • Highly organized in a manner to achieve effective communication and drive successful results from self and team • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; able to explain technical issues to non-technical English-speaking individuals • Desire to be challenged and achieve results in a successful technical and business environment
