📋 Description
• Work somewhere with the creativity of a scaleup and expertise of an enterprise. • We’re looking for a world-class AI Research Engineer to join our Team in Milan. • You’ll investigate, assess, and refine cutting-edge AI models, acting as a bridge between research and production; you’ll improve the research codebase by advocating for code reuse, implementing best practices, and ensuring reproducibility of experiments and you’ll manage large datasets, overseeing acquisition, labeling, and data loaders. • You’ll also collaborate closely with software engineers to deploy models in production, while also contributing to the design of advanced internal tools and technologies. • You’ll work closely with Product Engineering teams to understand their AI needs and achieve breakthrough results. • You’ll always stay updated with the latest trends in the field and share knowledge with the team.
🎯 Requirements
• PhD in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence or a related field, or equivalent practical experience. • At least 5 years of proven experience as an AI research engineer or more than 2 years of experience and a PhD. • Extensive expertise in the fundamentals of deep learning, including a profound understanding of key aspects such as model validation, regression, and classification techniques. • Strong knowledge in at least one of the following fields: NLP, Information Retrieval, Conversational AI, Computer Vision. • Strong Python programming skills and experience. • Knowledge and experience with version control systems, e.g. Git. • Proficiency in PyTorch. • Hands-on experience with distributed systems, particularly in on-device algorithm development, with a focus on High-Performance Computing (HPC) systems. • Proven record of contributing to AI publications, highlighting a keen understanding of cutting-edge research. • Good knowledge of one or more MLOps tools.
