Description

• The successful candidate requires minimum 4 years of Spanish payroll experience • Payroll delivery and service level management • Delivering accurate and compliant in house payroll processing for a group of assigned clients and payrolls • Coordinating the client’s requirements and managing the process with our trusted in-country payroll network • Scheduling and time management • Managing and delivering client payrolls against the agreed schedule • Communicating directly with clients and ICPs in order to meet or exceed the client deadlines • Escalating issues within client and iiPay to meet and exceed the agreed service level agreement • Relentless focus on maintaining a high customer satisfaction rating • Striving to improve the systems, processes and payroll delivery environment to maximise the efficiency and accuracy • Clear and informative communications to clients, our partners and internally to the wider team and our Client Service Managers • Understanding client requirements in a group of countries through the development of detailed knowledge of the statutory processes for those countries • Contributing to specific company projects such as improving and/or changing systems, processes or functions within the business • Managing, resolving client escalations and enhancing outcomes for our partner network.

Requirements

• 2-5 years of experience in Spanish payroll processing • preferably in an in-house role • handling full-cycle payroll, including payroll calculations, tax and SS submissions, etc with client facing responsibilities • Experience with Spanish statutory platforms: RED, SILTRA, CNOTRAT@, CERTIFIC@, AEAT... • Expert level of knowledge of Spanish legal requirements, statutory forms, and reporting • Expert level in complex payrolls (BIK, flexible retribution, stock options/RSU, non-residents, expats…) • Expertise in withholding taxes (IRPF) calculations and checks • Experience with filing tax returns and ensuring compliance with Spanish tax authorities • Understanding of Social Security contributions, sick leaves, maternity/paternity leaves, changes… • Familiarity with managing monthly and year-end tax filings (Modelo 111, 216, 190, 296) • Familiarity with understanding collective bargaining agreements and their impact on payroll • Ability to demonstrate analytical and problem-solving skills will prove incredibly beneficial to the candidate • Intermediate Excel skills are a requirement for this role • Experience with A3 innuva software is a plus • Ability to cope with high-pressure situations and consistently meet tight deadlines • Strong written and verbal communication skills: Spanish speaking is essential • English level: minimum B2 • Business software experience required: MS Excel, MS Word, Email Apps, Microsoft Apps
