• The Regional Product Marketing Manager is a key position within the Asia, Middle East and African (AMEA) Regional Marketing organization. • This role is responsible for driving adoption and usage of Illumina’s Low Throughput (LT) sequencing platforms and related consumables across the region. • The individual will be responsible for: development of product marketing strategies, both short and medium-term. • A key element of the role will be collecting, evaluating, reacting to and communicating field information. • This role will work closely with regional and global segment and product marketing and other functions across the organization. • The ideal candidate will collaborate across multi-disciplinary, international teams and cultivate key partnerships with KOLs. • Successful candidates will combine strong scientific understanding with strategic analysis, business acumen and leadership skills.
• BS/BA in biology or related field is required • PhD in genomics or related preferred • MBA or equivalent a plus • 2+ years experience in product marketing in Genomics or related field • Proven track-record of working constructively with sales • Previous experience working with cross-functional teams, ability to influence across an organization at all levels, including previous experience in a highly matrixed organization would be preferred • Understanding of genomics technologies broadly, and deep understanding of NGS specifically • Experience in and familiarity with the NGS market including customer base, market segments, technologies and products, and applications • Previous experience in customer-facing role (sales, support, etc.) is preferred • Excellent written and presentation skills • Expert understanding of regional needs, challenges and opportunities • Ability to articulate complex information to client • Deep connection with regional and international KOLs • Travel requirement: <50%
