Description
• Perform outpatient coding quality audits as directed by the Coding Manager • Review coding for all outpatient accounts selected for review • Alert Coding Manager to trends and consistent issues identified in the audit process • Serve as an outpatient coding subject matter expert to other team members
Requirements
• High school diploma or GED equivalent • Completion of a formally recognized coding program • Certified Coding Specialist (CCS), Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT), Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA) or other AHIMA or AAPC CPC coding credential • Minimum of five years' experience with all aspects of outpatient coding
