We provide realistic simulations and hands-on cybersecurity labs to evaluate individual and team capabilities and decision-making against the latest threats. • We have an exciting opportunity for a motivated and curious Front-end developer to join us at Immersive Labs as a UI Developer, working in our Product Design team. • This is an opportunity to own the systematic end-to-end implementation of design in our platform UI, covering the operation, contribution, extension and performant delivery for the end user. • We are looking for someone who will also become an important and vital part of our team, so we seek a driven, curious and collaborative person to become our next colleague. • You'll get to work in and with friendly, multi-disciplinary teams on innovative ideas during our Hack Weeks, where collaboration between different teams is encouraged to explore new and clever solutions. • You will be driving the centralization, extension and polishing of our front-end tech. Your role is to care for the design system full time, eliminate debt and modernize it to match our standards. • You'll participate in crafting a strong product that enables us to serve the highest quality experiences to our users. • You demonstrate an understanding of the development workflow, how to streamline processes, and involve other stakeholders. • You'll be the driving force behind a component library that enables developers to work at pace, owning the implementation of new components and patterns from concept to production, including proposal, discussion, and execution. • You'll contribute to the definition and be the advocate of our internal standards for style, accessibility, maintainability and best practices. • You’ll work with designers and engineers to ensure accessibility is built into our UIs from the ground up • You'll provide mentorship for engineers to help them best apply systemic product UI composition. • You’ll gather regular feedback from engineers to remove blockers and ensure our component library serves to aid productive developer workflows. • You’ll work in our design team as the technical driver for composable product realization. • Success in this role will depend most on your approach, core web skills and drive for growth, even if some of the above would be new to you.

• This role would best suit someone who is several years into their career and have worked on a product or SaaS platform. • You are experienced in Javascript frameworks, preferably React • Demonstrable, and up-to-date knowledge of best practices and patterns when working in a large, scalable frontend codebase, and familiarity with CI setups • Understanding of Git, semantic, accessible HTML, CSS and CSS in JS solutions • You've begun to develop the skills to critically review technical solutions and identify potential performance/design system/security/scalability issues • You show excellent communication skills and are excited to solve challenging problems in developing a long-term product building environment • You show a strong desire to work collaboratively as part of a team to deliver features on our product.

Benefits

• Time off, flexible and hybrid working so you can work when is best for you, includes 25 days annual leave + 2 volunteering days and birthday half day • Look after your family and yourself with enhanced parental leave, mindfulness groups, critical illness cover, 7% matched pension, health plan and more • Career and learning development through the platform and our ‘Learn Anything’ fund • Recognition & Rewards for doing great work and living our values and behaviours • Informal or formal flexible working options, e.g. flexible start and finish times, reduced hours, job share, remote working • We’re a sociable, tight-knit team with monthly socials, and sports clubs. Our socials have included everything from pottery painting and paper mask making, to movie nights and escape rooms • When you do visit the UK hub getting there is easy: we’re based in the centre of Bristol, just a 10 minute walk from the train station.
