Description

• Pitch, ideate, and execute content on reproductive, economic, and related news that connects with our audience, along with incorporating trending cultural topics into political content. • Write 5-8 content pieces per week, with each "piece" taking multiple content forms (articles, in-feed posts, story sets, newsletter inclusions). This will comprise a mix of assignments and pitches. • Have the ability to complete deliverables by the end of the business day. • Engage with our audience through thoughtful and impactful writing that encourages awareness and participation in key social issues.

Requirements

• 2-5+ years of experience in professional writing, with a portfolio showcasing content focused on social and political issues. • Strong ability to analyze complex political scenarios and provide clear, insightful commentary. • Familiarity with key political institutions, processes, and current events. • Ability to quickly adapt to fast-changing political developments and deliver timely, relevant content. • Proficiency in writing accessible, engaging social media copy that resonates with a Gen Z audience. • Strong editorial skills, including the ability to edit and refine content for clarity, coherence, and impact. • Experience with researching nuanced topics and finding reputable sources.
