📋 Description

• Indivisible is a nationwide grassroots movement dedicated to advancing progressive values, building an inclusive democracy, and empowering local Indivisible groups to effect change in their communities and beyond. • As the media landscape evolves, Indivisible recognizes the need to break into emerging platforms and expand our reach beyond traditional media. • This creative and strategic leader will be responsible for positioning Indivisible as a prominent voice beyond the MSNBC audience by cultivating relationships with podcasters, influencers, and digital-first journalists. • This role will lead Indivisible’s press team, overseeing the National Press Secretary and Grassroots Press Manager. • It will also work closely with teams across the organization to ensure cohesive and impactful media efforts that reflect our mission and values.

🎯 Requirements

• At least 7 years of experience in media relations, public relations, and digital communications, with a strong focus on emerging media platforms. • Demonstrated success in building relationships with podcasters, influencers, and digital-first media outlets. • Proven ability to secure high-impact coverage and translate complex issues into compelling narratives. • Experience managing high-performing teams and fostering alignment across diverse functions. • Strong interpersonal skills, with a demonstrated ability to build trust and maintain relationships internally and externally. • Deep knowledge of the changing media landscape, including trends in influencer marketing, podcast growth, and digital journalism. • Familiarity with tools for content amplification, analytics, and media engagement. • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with a flair for crafting engaging, impactful pitches and content. • A creative, solutions-oriented mindset, with the ability to experiment and adapt in a fast-paced environment. • Passion for Indivisible’s mission and a commitment to advancing progressive values.
