Description

• Document new features and capabilities as they are released by the engineering team. • Collaborate with engineers, product managers, and other departments to gather information and ensure accuracy in documentation. • Test and validate those features against the documentation you have developed. • Work in a docs-as-code environment to draft, edit, and proofread technical documents and user guides. • Participate in regular planning meetings with the product team. • Optimize documentation for search and AI retrieval. • Configure and use custom GPTs to improve documentation and assist users. • Contribute and review blog posts that highlight new features and capabilities. • Follow established documentation standards and guidelines. • Incorporate the latest best practices and tooling to improve documentation quality and user experience.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing, or recently completed, a degree in Technical Writing, English, Communications, Computer Science, or a related field • Strong written language skills • Experience using git, GitHub, Markdown, and HTML • Basic understanding of HTTP, REST, and how to test and evaluate APIs and other software components • Experience installing, configuring, using, and troubleshooting software and command-line tools • Programming and database querying skills (academic or professional) • Familiarity with and ability to adapt to established technical writing style guides
