📋 Description

• The Test Engineer is responsible for executing software testing processes to ensure the quality, functionality, and performance of software applications. • This role involves designing test cases, performing manual and automated testing, and documenting results to ensure software meets defined requirements and standards. • The Test Engineer collaborates closely with development and product teams to identify, report, and resolve software defects, contributing to the overall quality and reliability of the software. • Analyze requirements and technical specifications to create test plans, test cases, and test scripts. • Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure test coverage aligns with product goals and user expectations. • Identify testing criteria and acceptance standards for features and applications. • Execute manual test cases to validate software functionality, usability, and performance. • Perform regression, integration, and system testing to identify bugs and inconsistencies. • Run automated test scripts where applicable and report results. • Identify, log, and track defects using tools like JIRA, Azure DevOps, or Bugzilla. • Collaborate with developers to reproduce, prioritize, and resolve issues. • Validate fixes through retesting and regression testing. • Work closely with development, product, and QA teams to ensure alignment on testing needs and timelines. • Participate in agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives. • Provide detailed and timely updates on testing progress and issues to stakeholders. • Stay updated with the latest testing tools, methodologies, and best practices. • Contribute to the improvement of QA processes, tools, and workflows. • Proactively identify areas for testing enhancement and propose solutions.

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience. • 2-4 years of experience in software testing, with exposure to both manual and automated testing. • Familiarity with test case management tools (e.g., TestRail, Zephyr) and defect tracking systems (e.g., JIRA, Azure DevOps). • Basic knowledge of scripting or programming languages (e.g., Python, Java, or C#) for test automation. • Understanding of QA methodologies, tools, and best practices. • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and version control systems such as Git. • Experience with automated testing tools like Selenium or Appium. • Basic understanding of API testing tools such as Postman or SoapUI. • Exposure to performance testing tools (e.g., JMeter) and security testing concepts. • Knowledge of regulated industries such as healthcare or finance, with an understanding of compliance standards like HIPAA or FDA.
