• Who are we? • IOHK, a technology company focused on Blockchain research and development. • Renowned for our scientific approach to blockchain development. • Projects include decentralized finance (DeFi), governance, and identity management. • Invest in the unknown, applying curiosity and desire for positive change. • About Midnight: IOG's Midnight Tribe, core contributor to the Midnight Network. • Responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining core systems. • Work closely with development to build high-performance systems. • Design, develop, and maintain high-performance systems using Typescript. • Collaborate with development for seamless integration. • Work closely with security team to ensure integrity. • Write and maintain unit and integration tests. • Troubleshoot and debug existing systems. • Participate in code reviews and technical discussions.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or related field • Proven experience as a Systems Programmer, Software Engineer, or similar role with a focus on JavaScript and/or Typescript development • Strong understanding of computer science fundamentals, including algorithms and data structures • Experience in developing and maintaining high-performance systems in JavaScript • Experience with blockchain technology is a plus • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or in a team environment • Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams • Strong proficiency in JavaScript and/or Typescript programming language and its ecosystem, including libraries and tools • Experience in developing and maintaining high-performance, low-latency systems that can handle large-scale transaction processing • Familiarity with blockchain technology and its core concepts, such as consensus mechanisms, cryptography, and smart contracts • Strong proficiency in JavaScript and related frameworks/libraries (e.g., Node.js, React, Angular, etc.) • Proficient in working with databases and backend technologies (e.g., SQL, NoSQL, RESTful APIs) • Proficiency in writing and maintaining unit and integration tests to ensure system reliability and correctness • Familiarity with version control systems, such as Git, and software development best practices, such as Agile methodologies • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including developers, security experts, and product owners
