What’s in it for you? •$90,000 annually •Schedule: Monday – Friday; •100% remote position Position Summary: •We are seeking a dedicated Financial Analyst to join our real estate investment team in Irvine, CA. •This position works closely with leadership to establish tools, data sets, and standard reports to support department needs. Responsibilities: •Design, create and deliver timely and accurate standard periodic reporting and ad-hoc reporting on various operational and financial metrics, providing analysis and interpretation as required •Assist with the preparation and review of monthly and quarterly operational and financial reporting packages •Analyze current and historical financial results, perform variance analysis of key metrics, identify trends, and recommend actions •Support senior leadership team and department leaders with in-depth analysis •Assist with the preparation of the annual operating budget •Prepare, analyze, and distribute budget vs. actual results •Develop and track key operational and financial performance metrics against the company’s strategic objectives •Assist in the revenue and cost analysis process; provide trends and forecasts; explain variances; and recommend actions •Assist in various efforts to improve the efficiency surrounding the data collection and reporting by developing automated processes and applications •Participate on special projects and perform other tasks as assigned •Cross-trained in duties as assigned Qualifications: •Demonstrate a high level of attention to detail •Demonstrate intellectual curiosity and highly analytical •Desire to utilize analytical skills in order to use the data to tell a story •Demonstrated problem solving and decision-making skills •Demonstrated strategic and creative thinking ability •Proven team player with the ability to guide and influence cross-functional teams •Ability to effectively organize and prioritize multiple tasks •Excellent communication skills both written and verbal Skills/Software: •Advanced computer skills (VBA, SQL) •Internet research •Microsoft Word and Excel
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Business, or related field. •1-3 years of experience as a financial analyst for affordable housing, asset management, financial analysis, or related field is preferred •Exposure to financial reporting, budgeting, or forecasting •Knowledge of Yardi and Real Estate industry and terminology is preferred
