Description

• We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Data Engineer. • The Data Engineering team is responsible for inbounding healthcare data from customers, validating its quality, transforming the data to meet the needs of consumer applications, and saving the quality data to our datastores. • Ensure the successful inbounding, validation, and storage of healthcare data. • Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines using Databricks and PostgreSQL on AWS. • Implement and enforce data quality standards and best practices. • Support performance and scalability initiatives for company databases. • Monitor and optimize data workflows for performance and reliability. • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to team members. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and deliver solutions that meet business needs. • Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and technologies to ensure our data infrastructure remains cutting-edge.

Requirements

• 4+ years of relevant work experience. • Strong expertise in Databricks, PostgreSQL, and AWS. • Experience with data quality validation and data governance. • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. • Strong communication and interpersonal skills. • Flexibility and comfort working in a dynamic and constantly changing environment of a startup. • 6+ years of relevant work experience. • Understanding of techniques for optimizing Spark jobs, including partitioning, caching, and efficient use of resources. • Understanding of Spark’s execution model and how to troubleshoot performance issues as well as PySpark notebook ETL processes. • DBA experience with Aurora PostgreSQL. • Engineering experience working with a healthcare revenue cycle products. • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field and/or equivalent work experience.
