📋 Description

We match you to roles where you're most likely to succeed and provide feedback on every application to help you learn. • For one of our clients, we are looking for a Lead Software Engineer III (Ruby on Rails/React.js), working remotely from the United States. • As a Lead Software Engineer III, you will play a critical role in designing, developing, and maintaining scalable applications using Ruby on Rails and React.js. • You will collaborate with product managers, designers, and fellow engineers to build innovative software solutions that meet business needs and drive user engagement. • This role requires strong leadership in guiding technical teams, defining best practices, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality, maintainable code. • Your expertise in full-stack development, cloud environments, and modern deployment pipelines will be key in driving success. • Accountabilities: • Lead the design, development, and deployment of Ruby on Rails applications with modern React.js front-end solutions. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into scalable, high-performance software. • Ensure best practices in object-oriented programming, API development, and database architecture. • Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions and cloud-based deployment strategies (AWS, Azure, or GCP). • Review pull requests, provide constructive feedback, and mentor junior engineers to enhance technical growth. • Troubleshoot and optimize applications for performance, security, and maintainability. • Drive Agile development methodologies and contribute to process improvements. • Travel up to twice per year to Maryland for team collaboration and planning.

🎯 Requirements

• 8+ years of experience developing applications with Ruby on Rails. • Strong expertise in React.js for front-end development, including building UI components and managing client-server interactions. • Experience with PostgreSQL databases, including query optimization and schema design. • Proficiency in Git and GitHub Actions for version control and CI/CD processes. • Strong knowledge of cloud infrastructure and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes, or ECS). • Previous experience in technical leadership, mentoring engineers, and leading development initiatives. • Familiarity with Agile methodologies and experience working in a collaborative, fast-paced environment. • Ability to discuss technical topics with non-technical stakeholders and align development with business goals. • Experience in government contracting or insurance/medical leave applications is a plus. • Highly desired certifications: CompTIA Security+, AWS Certified Developer, or similar.
