📋 Description
• Analyzes clinical information to improve physician’s documentation. • Reviews inpatient medical records to assign diagnoses and procedures. • Provides education to physicians and healthcare providers on documentation improvement. • Collaborates with staff to resolve documentation queries prior to patient discharge. • Participates in analysis and trending of statistical data for improvement opportunities.
🎯 Requirements
• 3 years RN work experience is required; BSN is strongly preferred • Must currently hold one of the following certifications- Certified Clinical Documentation Specialist (CCDS) or Certified Documentation Improvement Practitioner (CDIP) • Graduate from Specialty Training Program-Nursing (Required) • Licensed Registered Nurse (Pennsylvania) - RN_State of Pennsylvania • Basic Life Support Certification - Default Issuing Body
