β€’ The Center for Indigenous Health in the Department of International Health at the School of Public Health is seeking a Financial Analyst who will work under the supervision of the Financial Manager. β€’ The Financial Analyst will provide support in the areas of fiscal management, pre-award, post-award, non-sponsored awards, and payroll management. β€’ The Financial Analyst will provide dedicated professional-level sponsored funds management for more than 80% of the time, with specific responsibilities for pre-award and post-award functions that include, but may not be limited to: proposal preparation, submission, budget development, account maintenance and oversight, billing/invoicing, reporting, compliance, and closeout. β€’ The Financial Analyst will work independently on a variety of grants/contracts that range from simple to highly complex. β€’ This role will also assist with some aspects of non-sponsored funds management. β€’ Specific Duties & Responsibilities include managing pre-award and post-award management, review and approve SAP transactions, keep abreast of institutional policies, perform cost-benefit analyses, manage related post-award processes, prepare sponsored invoices, and monitor projects to ensure timely expenditures and compliance.

🎯 Requirements

β€’ Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business or related field. β€’ Three years progressively responsible related financial/accounting experience. β€’ Additional education may substitute for required experience and additional related experience may substitute for required education, to the extent permitted by the JHU equivalency formula. β€’ Two or more years of related experience preferred. β€’ Must be highly skilled in financial analysis and reporting. β€’ Experience providing financial support at the executive level. β€’ Knowledge of JHU institutional systems, policies, and procedures. β€’ Three years of experience, preferably in support of academic, business, and research. β€’ MS Office suite of software applications (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, etc.). β€’ Ability to perform at a high level in a fast-paced and contingent environment. β€’ Strong attention to detail and analytical skills. β€’ Knowledge of SAP financial systems. β€’ Ability to manage multiple projects and establish priorities using independent judgment and ensuring deadlines are met. β€’ Demonstrated interpersonal, organizational, and problem-solving skills. β€’ Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and flexibly handle competing priorities and stakeholders. β€’ Willingness to work independently with a team that works in hybrid mode.
