📋 Description

• Coordinate the development and monitoring of budgeting and financial activities for two sub-areas. • Develop financial reports for forecasting and result analysis. • Assists in financial planning and cost analyses in collaboration with departmental leadership and faculty. • Ensures departmental financial efficiencies and compliance with regulations. • Responsible for the monthly reporting, monitoring, and projections of subarea budgets. • Analyzes complex financial data and extracts and defines relevant information. • Designs financial reports utilizing software applications. • Implements quality control and process improvements. • Meets routinely with Department leadership to share financial results. • Performs monthly reconciliation of departmental funding. • Responsible for timely preparation of sponsored proposals. • Provides groundwork for establishment of subaward agreements. • Oversees complex award management activities. • Manage and oversee subarea control salary balance. • Works with team to reduce control salary balances. • Manage salary allocations and sponsored accounts. • Assist with review and approval of travel reimbursements. • Review monthly purchasing card transactions. • Prepare and process payroll transactions. • Initiates and tracks appointments and credentialing of fellows. • Maintains training to process visas for appointment of foreign candidates. • Functions as a departmental resource.

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree. • Four years of related experience in sponsored research and/or financial positions, preferably in an academic or medical setting. • Additional education may substitute for required experience and additional related experience may substitute for required education, to the extent permitted by the JHU equivalency formula.
