📋 Description

• About Kalepa: Commercial insurance is a trillion-dollar industry run out of Microsoft Outlook. • Kalepa is upending this. Our state-of-the-art AI Copilot platform empowers underwriters to make smarter, faster, and more accurate decisions. • The candidate needs to be able to dive deep into problems, effectively delegate responsibilities, grow and develop talented engineers, and cultivate a results-driven, high-performance culture. • This is a hands-on position, and you will be required to spend around 50% of your time coding.

🎯 Requirements

• You bring 6+ years of relevant software engineering experience, with at least 1 year dedicated to full-time engineering team management. • You have a proven track record in managing complex, cross-functional projects across multiple teams. • You're skilled at hiring talented engineers at various levels and building high-performing teams. • You can make strategic trade-offs to deliver high-quality code in a fast-paced, scaling environment. • Your expertise includes strong development and system design skills, with experience in Python, React, and AWS as a plus. • You're adept at optimizing APIs and SQL queries for performance. • You're familiar with monitoring tools such as DataDog, Sentry, or similar services. • You hold a bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science or a related field.
